After 17 years as a solid citizen, a man is recognized as an escaped convict.
This is one of those, “Before They Were Stars” episodes. Harrison Ford plays the son of a carpenter who is recognized as an escaped murderer. This was one of Ford’s earliest roles. He had a lot of small roles back then, but not enough to pay the bills, so, ironically, he learned carpentry to earn extra money. He did work carpentry work for George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola, which helped lead to roles in “American Graffiti,” “Star Wars” and “Raiders of the Last Ark.”

Original Airdate: September 14th 1967
A racetrack robber thwarts Ironside’s bet on a sure winner and even after the suspect dies in a car crash, Ironside wants to know who ordered the crime.
James Gregory, who played Sgt. Frank Lugar in “Barney Miller” makes an appearance early on and Kent McCord who will play a patrolman on “Adam-12″ plays one here in a cameo.
