As a character actor, Strother Martin had a penchant for playing western types. 1969 proved a memorable year for Stuther, with roles in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” “The Wild Bunch” and “True Grit.” Season Two of “Lost in Space” marks the beginning of episodes filmed in color with everyone decked out in the color scheme of the 60′s

    I grew up on lost in space I loved the show seen repeats many times I loved in the beginning dr smith was evil bad guy not afraid of anything then changed him to a scared person for the rest of the season

    The pilot, which was titled, “No Place to Hide” and never aired, didn’t even feature Dr. Smith or Robot. They were added by the network to bring in sense of human conflict to the series.
