GTV Saturday Chiller Theatre: House on Haunted Hill
We’re going to try to bring back that TV staple of 60′s, the Saturday Night horror flick. Jeff expresses his fondness for WPIX’s Chiller Theatre, but almost every market had some version. For some it was the late night movie, that is until Saturday Night Live entered the scene. So prepared to be scared, or at least entertained!

In a brush with fame, my wife and I actually met Vincent Price. I was shooting an interview of him and he was just as nice a guy as you would ever meet. Unbelievably gracious. He was going around lecturing at college campuses and enthralling student audiences, slipping in some Shakespeare between stories about shooting Thriller with Michael Jackson.

Bruce Dern has almost always played the part of the heavy and he has always been good at it. He has won an Oscar, for best supporting actor in the movie, “Coming Home.” He has also played the good guy, most notably in the sci-fi classic, Silent Running.” He is also the father of actress, Laura Dern. Also watch for Harry Dean Stanton as one of the men tracking Dern.

Besides having a butt load of past and future stars in the cast, this episode features Katharine Ross. See starred with Robert Redford and Paul Newman in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” and with Dustin Hoffman in “The Graduate.” She also had a memorable role in “The Stepford Wives.” In later years she became a noted author of children’s books and is currently married to actor, Sam Elliot (who has been in a few westerns himself).
